The War Against Drugs(Yudh Nashian Virudh) would be my top priority-Gurbans Singh Bains,SSP Faridkot

Gurbans Singh Bains,who has replaced Dr Pragya Jain as new SSP said that Yudh Nashina  Virudh (War Against Drugs) would be his top priority as per the directions of the Punjab government led by Chief minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and under strict guidelines of Gaurav Yadav,DGP Punjab.

“Yes, my top priority as the new district chief would be to eliminate drugs from the society.You know, the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has committed to eliminate rugs from the society.Out DGP Gaurav Yadav has given it top priority.So, Faridkot police shall spare no drug pedlar or smugglers.Strict action would be taken against them and they would be behind the bars,” said Gurbans Singh Bains,SSP Faridkot when contacted by the Punjab Expres.com today over phone.

“The next top priority would be the war against gangsters,no gangsterism culture would be allowed to continue in the society.Such anti social elements would be dealt strictly as per the law.We want a peaceful society so that the state could prosper.The investors invest in the state free of any menace.The people of the state lead fearless lives and do their business.we shall not tolerate aly unlawful activity,” Bains said.

Apart from it,” I would ensure a corruption free environment,’ these are my top three priorities,” Bains said.

When asked about the drug addicted and their rehabilitation, the SSP said,”They are our major concern. They are patients not addicted.They need medical care and counselling.If any one want to get rid of the addiction and come forwards,We shall get them admitted and treated them from the government hospitals clinics,like OOAT(Outpatient Opioid Assisted Treatment).They,if have necessary determination, can fall back to the normal life.The state government and the Punjab police are committed to save the youth from the drugs.But we shall not spare any drug pedlar or smuggler,” said Bains.

“I had also held a public meeting on June 4 with the businessment community from Faridkot. I asked them if they have any information about anti social elecment,it be provided to the police.we discussed the performance of the police department and other other initiatives about the public welfare works.I appealed to the businessman community to cooperate with the police to eliminate the drus from the society,” Bains said.
