Speaker Sandhwan honours the 29 newly elected MCs from Kotkapura

Kultar Singh Sandhwan, the speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha on Sunday honoured the 29 newly elected councilors from the Kotkapura town who are now going to take command of the civic body for the next five years.

“I wish they good future and hope they would come up to the expectations of the locals who have elected them with high hopes.This is the first election of the local municipality that elections have been held free and fare,No nominations were illegally canceled and no arbitrary force was used.I have done all the works on the merit basis and not a sigle paise has been received as corruption,” Kultar said addressing the MCs.

“The Bhagwant Mann government has been committed to the welfare of the public.A large number of the jobs have been given,600 units of pree power is there,AP sets get 8 hours power supply,industry is flourishing and people are happy with our government,” Kultar Singh said.

The programme was organised by Good Morning Club, an NGO from Kotkapura being headed by Dr Manjeet Singh Dhillon.

Dr Dhillon welcomed all the gathering and said that his organization would continue to encourage the public welfare works.

Gurinder Singh Mehndiratta, senior office bearer and one of the founder member of the club handled the stage very beautifully as stage secretary.

He introduced all the visitors and the chief guests.

Pappu Lahoria,Prof HS Padam,and surinder Singh thanked the all present in the concluding ceremony.
