Four trollies transporting paddy from Rajasthan intercepted,legal action initiated -DC Faridkot

Raghbir Singh Brar  Faridkot  Under the instructions of DC Faridkot, Punamdeep kaur,the concerned officials of the food supply and market committee Kotkapura intercepted about four trollies loads of paddy being unloaded and stocked to two rice mills of the district, located in village Hari Naon. The sources said that the the one trolly load of paddy allegedly transpoted from Rajasthan was found being unloaded while three other trollies were waiting in queue. The DC Faridkot has ordered an inquiry into the matter and directed the police to register an FIR this regard. Raghbir Singh Brar Faridkot Deputy Commissioner Faridkot Punamdeep Kaur on Thursday said that the government has fixed the moisture content of paddy for procurement at 17 percent and farmers should bring only dry paddy to the markets for simultaneous procurement of their produce.
