Deputy Commissioner Faridkot Rahul Chaba on Friday reviewed complaints of traders registered on the Punjab State Traders Commission portal and directed all concerned departments to ensure time-bound and priority redressal.
Presiding over a meeting with officials of PSPCL, Police, State Tax and Excise, Transport and Water Supply and Sewerage Board, the DC said the administration has adopted a proactive approach to resolve problems faced by traders, shopkeepers and industrialists.
Traders apprised the DC of their department-related issues and also discussed beautification and security arrangements in the city in view of Dussehra and Diwali festivals. Some complaints were disposed of on the spot.
The DC instructed officials to encourage trade activities and resolve day-to-day administrative and tax-related issues of the trading community without delay.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Keshav Goel informed that out of total complaints received in the district, 41 have already been resolved and the remaining will be cleared soon.
The heads to various departments were present during the meeting.
