DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav visits Faridkot to study its pattern against”YudhNashyan Virudh”, all parse for Faridkot police

The DGP Punjab police Gaurav Yadav today visited Faridkot and inaugurated three facilities in police lines Faridkot ,ie, cyber crime police station, an ultra modern briefing and conference hall on Tuesday.

“I have visited Faridkot specially to study the pattern of Faridkot police to deal with the problems of the drugs. The Faridkot police have registered the maximum FIRs against drug peddlers, smugglers and made the largest recovery of the drugs and drug money. It has been all possible with the help of the people of the district,” said Gaurav Yadav, briefing the media.

“The Punjab police officials, Gazetted, Non Gazetted and others can now organize the meetings etc. which would be able to uplift the functions of the Punjab police force, ” said Gaurav Yadav, inaugurating the conference hall at civil lines Faridkot.

The DGP also inaugurated a briefing hall with the capacity of 250 police officials in police lines.

The DGP also distributed 61 DGP commendation disks,08 appreciation letters and CC1 certificates to the police officials.

“Faridkot police is doing wonderful work. Most of the cases have been registered by Faridkot police on its safe helpline number. Faridkot police have registered more than 150 FIRs against the drug peddlers and smugglers and have arrested more than 300 accused in those cases. The district police have recovered about 3.70 kg grams of opium,05 kg of heroin and a large amount of drug money. The district police have also got property worth 5 crore frozen,” said Gaurav Yadav,DGP Punjab in Faridkot.

Present on the occasion were DIG Faridkot range Ashwani Kapur, SSP Faridkot Pragya Jain,SSP Moga Ajay Gandhi and SSP Muktsar Akhil Chaudhryt on the occasion.

“We have given a complete new look to the old structure of the police lines. Earlier, we had renovated police stations and police posts, but now we have begun to renovate the police lines. Today we have presented a new look to the police lines buildings and DGP sahib has highly appreciated our efforts. He has assured us all help to restructure and renovate our old building apart from the upgradation of the existing infrastructure,” said Pragya Jain,SSP Faridkot.

The DGP also assured help of all kind to build more housing facilities for the police officials and lauded the efforts of the SSP for renovations and upgradation works in the district.
