Faridkot SSP Dr Pragya Jain on Friday elaborated the achievements of Faridkot police where it has done alledly a remarkable work to eradicate the menace of drus by arresting about 820 accused under NDPS act by registering about 574 FIRs this regarding.
Pragya Jain,the SSP Faridkot presented it’s report card counting all the achievements of district police since March to September this year during a demolition drive of an illegal construction by one Krishan Singh alias Kishi,under police station Sadak on Friday.
The Faridkot police led by SSP Dr Pragya Jain along with other officials of police and civil administration demolished the allegedly illegal construction of the accused,who has,as per the police versions,9 cases registered againt him.
“Faridkot police have registered 574 FIRs under NDPS act and we have arrested 820 accused in those cases.The district police have recovered about 24 kg of heroin,06 kg of opium,19 quintal of poppy husk,20k of intoxicant tablets apart from seizing Rs 07.90 k of drug money,”said DR Pragya Jain, SSP Faridkot in a press note to the media on Friday.
The most remarkable achievement of the district police has been having the property of the criminals frozen worth Rs 7 crore of drug money.
