On Tuesday,the Punjab Chandigarh Journalist Union held a special meeting of its members at Kotkapura.
The meeting was held under the PCJU Kotkapura president Mohar Singh Gill and senior members Gurinder Singh Mehndiratta and Harpreet Singh.
The union passed a resolution to accept the memership of new members to Kotkapura unit.
“We have also decided to hold a seminar regarding the freedom of press soon.Some new members had applied for the membership and their requests have been accepted unanimously,”said Mohar Singh Gill.
The new members were also handed over the ID cards of the union.
The union provides it own ID cards to the members which are provided by its head office Chandigarh.
A three member committe comprsing Dr Bhavit Goel,Chander Garg and Gagandeep Jindal was also formed to get the bank account of the union opened and get it registered.
The union has appealed to all its memers to report unbiased and stand by the truth.
