“War against drugs”Faridkot police arrest one accused,recover 261 grams heroin and Rs 54880 drug money from his possession

The Faridkot police on Friday claimed to have recovered 261 grams of heroin and Rs54880 drug money from the possession of one Amar Khanna son of Shadi Lal,resident of Jatinder Chowak Faridkot.

According to the police, he is the main supplier of the drugs.

His name had reportedly cropped up during the interrogation of another accused Sanjeet Kumar alias Teetu .Teetu was arrested with 253 grams of heroin and one computerized scale on March 22.

Teetu, duting his investigation revealed that Amar Khanna used to supply drugs to him.

Then the police nominated Amar Khanna in the case and he was allegedly arrested with 100 grams of heroin.

“During the interrogation of Amar Khanna, it was learnt that the accused had allegedly hidden some drugs at other places and the police recovered 161 grams heroin from other places on his demarcation during his police remand,” reads the press note released to the media by SSP officer Faridkot.

Sanjeev Kumar, who is a resident of Faridkot also, has one case of NDPS act against him while there are four separate cases against Amar Chand,all of NDPS act.
