.”Even after repeatedly providing evidence in meetings, the Punjab government, Kultar Singh Sandhwan and the higher authorities have been trying to protect the culprits instead of providing justice to the affected farmers,”alleged Bohar Singh. “
So on August 5, BKU Sidhupur will be forced to surround Kultar Singh Sandhwan’s house,”he said.
Bhartiya Kisan Union Ekta Sidhupur District President Bohar Singh Rupian Wala and District General Secretary Inderjit Singh Ghania, were talking to reporters after reviewing the preparations for the surrounding of Kultar Singh Sandhwan’s house on August 5.
They alleged that the union has been holding a protest for over four months on this issue,but nothing has happened so far.
“Since March 31,several meetings have been held with the administration and Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan, but instead of taking action against the culprits, the Punjab government has used tactics to protect the culprits in the meetings,”the union leaders alleged.
Bohar Singh Rupaiyan Wala further said that government institutions are there to protect the lives and property of the people and provide financial assistance to the common people, but the Land Mortgage Bank under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is allegedly looting the farmers just as the moneylenders looted as Rajwadas during the Shahi period and forcing them to commit suicide.
While talking to the farmer leaders, he said that on the occasion of the suicide of the brothers of Hari Naon village, who were allegedly victims of the oppression of the Land Mortgage Bank, Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan had promised to provide jobs to the wives of the affected farmers, financial compensation to the family and education of their young daughters in good schools. However, after such a long time and even after the organization presented the evidence of the frauds committed by the corrupt officers of the Land Mortgage Bank who cheated the farmers across Punjab to the Punjab government in meetings, the Punjab government, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan and the administration have used tricks to protect their corrupt bureaucracy instead of giving justice to the victims, due to which the organization have decided to ghero the house of Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan on August 5, further intensifying protest.
Preparations for the ghero on August 5 are being made on a war footage and in connection to that all the district and block leaders have been informed,” he said.
“The duties of the village units have been assigned and all the leaders are making preparations for the village-to-village ghero on August 5th with full vigor and committees have been formed to arrange langar and tea for the people coming to this morcha.The preparations for the langars have also been implemented,”said Bohar Singh Rupian Wala while talking to the media today.
He further said that the face of the Punjab government has been exposed in the meetings, this government is only about beating and looting people and instead of giving justice, this government is using every possible means to protect the guilty. Therefore, against this tyranny of the Punjab government and to get justice to the farmers, all the preparations for this morcha have been completed and every village has been asked to prepare tractor trolleys and reach the morcha going on in Faridkot on August 4th.
