“My sister often complained of thrashing and misbehavior by her in-laws. Yesterday, I was informed by my sister that his husband, with a conspiracy of his whole family, wanted to sell the earth from their agricultural land, which she opposed. But soon after, I was informed that my sister was killed. When I reached the spot, I found the dead body of my sister in the agriculture land belonging to the family near Kothe Melke situated in village Khara.
The victim, a mother of two sons, ageing 3 and 13, was allegedly strangled by her dupatta in the fields.
The family of the accused belongs to the small farmers, and it has been learnt that their land was high and failed to get canal water. So, they wanted to sell earth from the land to lower its level while the victim was vehemently opposing this move.
