Two students of class 10th of government high school Mour, Sandeep Kumar and Sanjeev Kumar who got 8th and 12th rank in the merit list of the Punjab School Education Board Mohali got a rousing welcome by the school staff,village Panchayat,prominent persons from the village and the social workers.
“Sandeep Kumar of our village school got the 8th rank in the merit list of the Punjab board and he also topped in all the government schools in Faridkot as for as merit list is concerned.Sanjeev Kumar was ranked 12th .They are our pride and the village Panchayat,the staff of the school and others gave them a rousing welcome on Friday when they visited the school,’ said Gurpreet Singh Mann, a social worker from the village who also addressed the students.
“The village Sarpanch(retired teacher) Kuldeep Singh, School Management Committee chairman Sarbjeet kaur and others welcomed the merit listed studnets.Amarjeet Singh, a school teacher managed the stage as stage secretary and the principal of the school,Taranjeet Kaur thanked all the visiters.She also exhorted the students to work as much as hard so that they can also secure top positions in the next examinations going to be held,” said Gurpreet Mann.
