Wife-lover plots the murder of Faridkot village man, arrested-Yogeshwar Singh, SP Investigation

Blinded by lust, instead of love, the woman cruelty got her husband killed with the help of his accomplice, law soon catches up and both the accused have been arrested by the police.

The district police on Wednesday claimed to have cracked the case of murder of Gurvinder Singh,30, a man from village Sukhan Wala of Faridkot.

The murder had been reported on the intervening night of November 28/29.

It was reported to the police that some robbery had taken place at the house of the victim and the robbers had allegedly killed Gurwinder Singh.

The Sadar police had registered a case of murder in this regard on the complaint of Manvir Kaur,the sister of the victim.

“The thorough investigation had been started in the case immediately after the incident on the instructions of Dr Pragya Jain,SSP Faridkot, by SHO Sadar,Manoj Kumar, under supervision of Tarlochan Singh,DSP Faridkot. During the investigation, the police got some clues that it was actually a murder planned by the wife of the victim. Rupinder Kaur, a resident of Faridkot had been married to the victim Gurwinder Singh for about a year. After she was deported from Canada, she was living with his husband but had been running an extra marital affair with one Harkanwalpreet Singh, a resident of Balluana village of Bathinda district, “said Yogeshwar Singh,SP investigation Faridkot briefing the media on Wednesday.

Rupinder Kaur had allegedly first made the victim drink some sedatives or even he could have been given some poison, which would become clear in the post mortem report, it has been learnt.

Rupinder, allegedly called his lover to his house and both tried to kill him. As the victim sensed the ill design of eliminating him, there was some scuffle between the two and finally, both the accused overpowered him and strangulated him to death.

“Both the accused have confessed to the crime and they are on police remand. Nobody would be spared in the case. The police are still investigating the case and if the involvement of anybody else is found, he/they too would be brought to book,” said Yogeshwar Singh ,SP(I) Faridkot speaking to the media.

The accused woman first tried to pass it off as a murder by robbers alleging that they had looted the Gold and killed Gurwinder, but cracked during the police investigation, it has been learnt.

The dead body of the victim was found lying on the terrace of the house with little/thin clothes even in the winter which allegedly pointed to his murder and poisoning.
