The wife killed her husband with conspiring her lover, the duo had already been arrested while the third accused has been arrested Friday.

The Faridkot police on Friday, six days after the murder of Gurwinder Singh,30,a private bank employee who was allegedly murdered by her wife and her lover, have claimed to have arrested the third accused Vishavjeet in the case.
“We are under intense pressure of the media and society and are accountable to those for transparency. We want to tell you that we have tried our best to crack the case of the murder which was allegedly passed as a dacoity by the main accused, Rupinder Kaur, the wife of the deceased. We had on the first day arrested Rupinder Kaur and when she was confronted with the questions regarding her claim that there was some dacoity in her house, she could not answer satisfactorily. The house of the deceased was at safer location and there was no sign of any intrusion,” said Dr Pragya Jain SSP Faridkot addressing a press conference today.
“The other accused ,Harkanwalpreet Singh, the person who was allegedly in love with the main accused Rupinder fled to Mumbai immediately after committing the crime and the police forced him to return and he surrendered in the court. We worked in tendon of law and managed to secure his long remand so that we can reach upto all the accused and recover the allegedly looted gold etc. as claimed by the main accused. We hope we shall recover the looted valuables tomorrow,” the SSP said.
“Then the third accused Vishavjeet came into the picture during the interrogation of the main accused who had driven the car to the crime scene and was involved in the crime as well. So we have also arrested him as well. The Faridkot police has done its best to arrest all the accused very shortly and nobody would be spared,’ the SSP said.
The dead body of the victim, Gurwinder Singh was not cremated by the family which was alleging that police were allegedly shielding the accused.
His dead body had to be decided to be cremated today.
The victim belonged to a farmers family and was well educated. He had married Rupinder in 2023 and she was sent to Canada by his family on study visa.
His father alleged that she wanted to return and was allowed.
He said that she expressed her intention to open a boutique here.
His parents were in Canada when the crime was committed.
“We had to come back to India on December 8 as we had visited our daughter in Canada who had been blessed with a son but the woman availed of the opportunity to eliminate our son plotting his murder with her lower,Harkanwalpreet Singh, a resident of a Bathinda village.
The main accused and her accomplice had both come back to India from Canada.
