The results of the 10 seats of the Zila Parishad in district Faridkot seem to tell a lot to all the political parties.
The Kotkapura assembly segment, which is being represented by Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan, drew a blank, telling that if you tend to ignore your gross root workers and believe in media frenzy, you may not survive.
For congress, if you have a strong leader to lead, you may bring out some results, as the INC won one seat of Sandhwan zone by defeating the AAP candidate.
The strong and long standing loyalty of Mantar Singh Brar to the Badals,who has been Kotkapura MLA,CP secretary and Zila Pradhan of the district, got SAD win wo seats,Pakka and Khara.Brar now seen a hubnle leader,taking along all his supporterts.
From Faridkot constituency, AA:P won only one seat, zone Faridkot rural. Faridkot is being represented by AAP MLA Gurdit Singh Sekhon and Parambans Singh Bunty Romana represents SAD.Being led by former CPS Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon, congress failed to win any seat from Faridkot constituency.
However, Jaitu has been somewhat satisfactory for AAP where it won 3 seats leaving one for SAD.
The results show that there is no place for off the ground politics and if you are connected to the people who supported you and fulfil their expectations, you may stay relevant. But it is not that SAD and congress have all the bright future. They have still to overcome many hurdles.
“The state congress has allegedly five faces of the CM, it can come back if its has a united face, otherwise divided they would fall, “said Ram Singh Dhillon,a congress leader from Devi Wala.
The SAD has yet to come clean.The voters may now have fed up with the AAP’s false assuraces,but the assembly elections could be differnt,where each candidate allegedly cross all the limits to woo the voters.
Block Samitis results
Overall,AAP has been a looser from Kotkapura and Faridkot assembly constituencies by only winning 3 each seats from respective constituencies while,Jaitu boosted its morale by winning 15 block samitis.
Jaitu is being represented by Amolak Singh of AAP.
“The congress is very weak leaders from Jaitu(reserved) constituency,so it has led AAP win more seats,” said Ram Singh Dhillon.
From Koptkapura and Faridkot INC won 8 and 9 seats while drew a blank from Jaitu.
From Jaitu,which is being overseen by Suba Singh Badal,son of former minister Gurdev Singh,in addition to Mantar Singh Brar,who was assigned a duty to look after Jaitu also,won 9 seats ,6 down from the ruling dispensation’s 15.
The BJP, which is trying to win more and more hearts of the people, could win only two seats of block samitis,one from Jaitu and Faridkot each.
