Coming down heavily on the drug smugglers/suppliers, Under the supervision of Harjeet Singh, DIG Bathinda, the district police have claimed that it has arrested two persons and recovered a very large quantity of Pregabalin capsules and Tramadol tablets.
The police claimed that it had arrested one Bathinda resident, identified as Sanjeev Kumar during the checking of vehicles and recovered about 9000 capsules of Pregabalin 300 mg besides seizing his scooter.
“On his further interrogation, the police arrested of a chemist and recovered about 737600 capsules of Pregabalin 300 mg and 20000 tablets of Tramadol from his possession ,” said Jyoti Yadav, SSP Bathinda in a press release to the media on Tuesday.
No case has been ever registered against the accused, the press release states.
It is pertinent to mention that the Pregabalin capsules, above 75 mg are mostly banned kin the state.
