FARIDKOT POLICE BECOMES MORE HI-TECH WITH THE BEGINNING OF THE NEW YEAR; SSP FARIDKOT DISTRIBUTES NEW LAPTOPS AND COMPUTERS TO ALL POLICE STATIONS AND DSP OFFICES OF THE DISTRICT*

Dr. Pragya Jain, IPS, SSP Faridkot, known as an officer who introduces innovative initiatives, began the year 2025 by transforming the appearance and functioning of all police stations and Police Posts in Faridkot district. This initiative greatly helped in establishing a systematic and transparent working environment in police stations, making it easier for the public to approach the police and avail services.

At the beginning of the year 2026, she took another significant step with a strong resolve to make Faridkot Police more modern, technical, and digital by distributing a large quantity of advanced technical equipment to all police stations and offices.

During this initiative, various police stations of the district were provided with 07 laptops, 24 LED monitors (27 inches), 24 CPUs (32 GB), 24 UPS systems, and 35 fingerprint scanners. These devices are not only meant to enhance technical capability but also to ensure faster and more efficient functioning of police stations and offices through a modern digital system.

Additionally, 18 MFP printers, 14 mobile phones, 08 QR barcode readers, 08 flat slap scanners, 08 barcode printers, and 07 inverter sets were also provided.

While sharing information, SSP Faridkot Dr. Pragya Jain stated that under the leadership of Hon’ble DGP Punjab Shri Gaurav Yadav, continuous efforts are being made across the state to modernize the police structure, enhance transparency, and prioritize public service. Under the guidance of IG Faridkot Range, Smt. Nilambari Jagadale, these initiatives are now being implemented at the ground level by equipping police stations and offices with modern equipment.

She further stated that availability of modern equipment will significantly improve police efficiency and enable the public to receive faster, transparent, and better services. Digital facilities will accelerate crime investigation, data management, and service delivery, resulting in saving of both time and resources.

SSP Faridkot also highlighted that Faridkot Police has been continuously working to provide better services to the public, which is evident from the nearly 31 percent reduction in crime during the year 2025. Moreover, prompt and assured redressal of public complaints led to resolution of 5187 applications during the same period.

It is also noteworthy that demonstrating improved efficiency in disposal of registered cases, a total of 2060 cases were disposed of during the year 2025.

SSP Faridkot instructed all officers and employees to ensure proper and responsible use of the provided modern equipment so that timely and reliable police services can be delivered to the public.
