Faridkot
Chamkaur Singh, a farmer from village Bir Sikhan Wala demanded that the government must provide the CBC machine to the vet polyclinic Faridkot so that the dairy farmers may not have to get the CBC tests from private labs and ensure good behavior of the staff to the people visiting there.
“I was advised by the veterinarian that I should get the CBC and another test of my cow at the polyclinic Faridkot so that I can get the best treatment and guidance. I got the blood sample collected from a local veterinarian and visited the polyclinic Faridkot. But to my shock, a doctor there misbehaved with me,” alleged Chamkaur Singh,58, a retired school lecturer from village Bir Sikhan Wala.
“First of all, the doctor asked my why I had not got the test referred from a veterinary doctor. It was not possible for me because the local civil veterinary hospital is about 10 KMS away from my village. I wanted to simply get the blood test done so that I could get the treatment for my cow which is ailing for a month,” alleged Chamkaur Singh.
“The doctor allegedly said that from where such people appear without any manners.(Kitho Mooh Chack Ke A Jande a),while the doctor was going upstairs, to which I objected and later on met with the Deputy Director there, who took the strong notice of it and called the doctor there. But I shocked that this kind of behavior is done to the educated people like me,” alleged Chamkaur Singh.
He further alleged that while the poly clinic is supposed to provide all the testing facilities there, the Hematology Analyzer is not working.
“I travelled 17 km to Faridkot, instead of to a private lab 6-7 km away at Kotkapura, but was told there that the machine is not working for long and I had to get this test done from some private lab, so I had to get it done from a private lab,” claimed Chamkaur Singh.
