The Punjab government has learnt to have released Rs 4 lakh to the family of Panna Lal,a mason who had died of an accident during his work about four years ago.He was registered with the labour departments Punjab and despite competing all the formalities, his widow was unable to get the amount she deserved.The wife of the deceased,Gogi had been running from pillar to post to get this ex gratia life cover for about four years.Thepunjabexpress.com has also carried a detailed story on it on September 11.Gagandeep,the son of law of Gogi said that the Rs 4 lakh has been credited to the account to the wife of the deceased on October 16.Kultar Singh Sandhwan speaker Punjab sabha visited our house today this regard,Gagandeep said.
