Punjab state congress president Aamrinder Singh Raja Warring is facing a very tough time as his opponents are leaving no stone unturned to have him removed from the post of state president while, high command is so far, is behind him.
Former chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi and others have put him in a awkwards position.

“Now you shout slogans in favour of your leader.Call up Charanjit Singh Channi,” Warring invited a youth shouting slogans in favour of Channi on to the stage, dragged him close to him and made him shout the Channi favoured slogans.”Now he has not picked up the call, may be busy, but give him my number.If you have any work, call me,” Warring said in Bathinda district during a public address.
“They want to defeat your son. But I am relieved here in Muktsar.We have won 7 parliament seats and what wrong have I done?Raja Warring asked the audience in Muktsar while getting emotional.
Coming down heavily in a public meeting, Warring said that all the CMs lost in 2022.( CM contenders from the party)”You have got me elected here,otherwise, the party would have got only 17 MLAs”,Warring said.
Criticising Sunil Jakhar, Raja Warring said in another public address,”When we had majority and won most of the seats(in 2017), Sunil Jakhar lost.He was given a ticket from Gurdaspur and won the parliament seat.He was appointed the state congress president(from 2017-21)But he demanded that he be made chief minister of the state as he has lost,” said Raja Warring.(referring to the time when Captain Singh had been ousted)
Sidhu Moosewala’s defeat referred to four times, his father objects.
Raja Warring also referred to Sidhu Moosewala, who had contested from Mansa in 2022.
“Sidhu Moosewala was a very popular singer.His reels attracted millions of viewer.But he lost badly,(perhaps second last looser with big margin).Because no booth level workers were there.There was no ground work,” said Amarinder Singh Raja Warring in another speech.
“I have an objection to it. We did not know much about contesting elections. But congress lost 99 seats, We were one of them,” said Balkaur Singh, father of the late singer.
Mending the wall, Warring played Sihu moosewala’s song 295.”Listen to this song.It gives me enthusiasm when I get up in the morning” he said in his speech.
Raja Warring also allegedly blamed Captain Amarinder Singh, the former chief minister of Punjab for the defeat of the party.
Only one ticket to on family
In Fazilka district, Amarinder Singh Raja Warring said that if he were the state president, only one ticket would be given to one family.
“Though the ticket distribution had to be done by Rahul ji, however, I would advocate this policy. Many are there that they would contest from one assembly segment and their sons or others would contest from another one.It would not do,” said Raja Warring.
If the state congress goes like this, it would not be able to win 59 seats in five cornered assembly contests in 2027.
