Dr Kulwant Singh, chief agriculture officer Faridkot has said that the farmers can avail a subsidy upto Rs 2000 per quintal on the purchase of the seeds of certified varieties of wheat as per the scheme of the government “National food security and Nutrition Mission”.“The farmers can apply on the website of the government for the subsidised seed of the wheat crop.The farmers can log in on agrimachinerypb.com portala to avail the subsidy on the certified seeds of wheat.The farmers can maxxium avail the subsidy upto one hectare only and it would be at the spot discount to the farmers where they purchase the seeds,” informed Dr Kulwant Singh,CAO Faridkot.”There is a target of making available seeds of subsiudised wheat of about 1980 quintal in the district,” said CAO.
