Dhilwan Kalan village, about 3 KMS from Kotkapura town and under Jaitu constituency is reportedly the first village in the district which has been fully covered by the CCTV cameras.
TheCCTV camera project was inaugurated today by Amolak Singh Jaitu and Sukhjeet Singh Dhilwan, chairman of the district planning board Faridkot today.
“We have covered all the village with the CCTV cameras with the cost of Rs 5 lakh. All the entry and exit points of the village have been fully covered so that the criminal activities can be checked and criminals, in case of any crime, could be identified. Apart from the people of the village, the CCTV cameras would also help police force to identify criminals etc.We have taken this initiative so that we can keep our village safe,” said Sukhjeet Singh Dhilwan.
“Jaitu MLA congratulated the village Panchayat and Sukhjeet Singh Dhilwan for this project,” reads the press note.
