Jaspreet Singh alias Shaktiman, a Kabaddi player was married to Kaur about 17 years ago. "The accused wanted to sell earth from his land of which Gagandeep Kaur opposed. When they were both in the fields on Melka road, near Khara, a scuffle broke out between the two which led to the murder of the Gagandeep Kaur," said Jatinder Singh,DSP Kotkpura.
