Jaspreet Singh alias Shaktiman, a Kabaddi player was married to Kaur about 17 years ago. "The accused wanted to sell earth from his land of which Gagandeep Kaur opposed. When they were both in the fields on Melka road, near Khara, a scuffle broke out between the two which led to the murder of the Gagandeep Kaur," said Jatinder Singh,DSP Kotkpura. The locals said that there was always a dispute between the families and when the husband wanted to sell earth which was higher, her wife opposed. The police said that they have arrested Gurmeet Singh, a resident of village Chaina of Jaitu Sub Division,Salwinder Singh, a resident of Bholu Wala road Faridkot and Sukhpal Singh, also a resident of Sanjay Nagar Faridkot.
